Using Microsoft Intune for Fresh Service Agent Deployment

I saw different support articles about how to deploy the FreshService Agent, but I had not seen one around using Microsoft’s Intune. We are currently using Intune for software distribution and I figured it would be helpful to share how we deploy the agent with Intune. Let me know if this post is helpful and works for you.Assumptions: You have the fresh service agent msi file downloaded on your PC. You have the Intune app builder “IntuneWinAppUtil.exe”. Why is FDK skipping over my coverage files?

I am making my first FDK app and it’s a frontend button in the ticket_top_navigation area that gathers info to format ticket info into a more printable concise format. I have it to the point where Jest states we have >80% in all coverage sections, but when I go to pack the app, fdk states that coverage is less than 80% and forcing it to skip coverage results in an empty zip file. I can confirm that the manifest points toward the correct location for tests and we have both lcov.info and coverage-final.json in the coverage file and app.test.js in the __tests__ file within the overall directory. Any help would be appreciated.

Provisioning: Deactivate user?

I am setting up the Entra app for user provisioning to Fresh Service.It is going OK, but i noticed that i cannot deactivate users?When a user is deactivated in Entra, the update is sent to FS: But the user remains active in FS.We expect it to work just in principle, but also because we are migrating from the AD probe, where it was working.Anyone got this working?

Azure AD Provisioning stopped working

We’ve been using the Azure AD Provisioning for about half a year now without any issues. However, we just noticed that it’s basically failing every user creation and update and has been for several weeks now. The last successful user creation we had was on Jan 8th. A few updates have been successful in the past few days as well, but other than that it’s been a constant stream of failures in the provisioning logs. All updates provide the error:Error Code: UnSpecifiedError message: Processing of the HTTP request resulted in an exception. Please see the HTTP response returned by the 'Response' property of this exception for details.All creations provide the error:Error Code: FreshserviceInvalidValueError message:Meanwhile Deletion and Deactivation result in the same error as the update, the UnSpecified HTTP request exception.

Dayforce HRIS Implemtation

We have Dayforce HRIS and loved seeing a connector app for this HRIS recently released, we just did the connection within our sandbox, but the pre done recipes are not pulling in employee info or creating new accounts within freshservice, like the recipe says it will do. I would like to partner up with someone else that is looking to implement this connector app also, but would like to see freshservice release more information, then the basics of getting the connection working

Question about synchronizing the ownership of assets from Intune

Hi Freshworks community,We are synchronizing assets with the Intune app from Intune into Freshservice. This process works well for the most part. However, we have noticed that the ownership of mobile assets is not displayed in Freshservice.When syncing from Intune, the app can filter by ownership, but we would like to transfer all mobile devices from Intune regardless of ownership and instead give our agents in Freshservice the ability to see at a glance whether a device is personal or business. This does not seem to be planned.The corresponding data is provided by Intune via the API type managedDeviceOwnerType and is also available for mapping in the Freshservice Intune app. According to Microsoft's API documentation, the values 0, 1 and 2 are used to differentiate the owner type.Now the question arises for me as to what options we have to make this information available to the agents in a readable form. Would it be possible, for example, to insert a drop-down field in the asset field

Freshdesk Mobile App Not Syncing Custom Ticket Fields in Real-Time

Hey everyone,I’m running into a strange issue with the Freshdesk mobile app (iOS & Android). We use several custom ticket fields to track priority and internal categories. These show up perfectly on the web version, but on the mobile app, they either don’t appear at all or show outdated values even after refreshing.Things I’ve tried: Reinstalling the app Clearing app cache Forcing a sync by pulling to refresh Checking if field visibility is restricted (it’s not) Our agents in the field rely heavily on the mobile app, and this inconsistency is making things difficult. Has anyone faced something similar? Any idea if this is a known limitation or a bug?Thanks in advance!

SCIM provisioning via Microsoft Entra – is user provisioning via groups supported?

Hi everyone,We’re currently setting up SCIM provisioning from Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) to Freshservice using the official “Azure Active Directory Provisioning (SCIM)” app from the Freshservice Marketplace.We’ve followed the official documentation and user provisioning works fine when users are assigned individually to the app. However, we’re trying to manage provisioning using groups — and that’s where we’re hitting a roadblock. What we’ve tested: Created a Security group in Entra (not a Microsoft 365 group) Added the group under “Users and Groups” in the Freshservice Enterprise App Verified that the Provisioning Scope is set to “Sync only assigned users and groups” Provisioning works for individually assigned users ✅ ❗ But for the group, the following error shows up in provisioning logs:Group 'APP-Freshservice' will be skipped. EntityTypeNotSupportedHas anyone successfully used groups (specifically, Security groups) in Entra to automatically provision users into Freshservic
